Toni & Fran's Visit to Storage Wars (Sonora, CA)

Last weekend, I traveled up to Sonora, CA to see Fran who just had a birthday.  She hates to admit her age, but she turned 88 years young.  And of course we went shopping to celebrate.  Even though it was 100 degrees and rising, we went to the storage lockers flea market, which is held 2 weekends a month.  This flea market is off Tuolumne Road (on Eagle Drive) in Sonora.  We braved the heat to see what treasures we could find.  I bought a few things including a vintage rhinestone bow tie ring for only $5.  Fran remembered that she had one in high school (in the 1940's), so I knew it was a good investment and in perfect condition.  I bought Fran a vintage doll from the 1940's for $25.  She loved it.  She also bought many other things, including 2 Orchard Supply wooden boxes (very dirty) that I had to clean off before putting in my car, getting a sliver in my finger doing it.  My dad told me that they looked like the boxes that were used in fruit orchards in the 1930's and 1940's.  Fran is going to sand them herself and put antique dolls in them.  I'm sure the next time I see them they'll be transformed.  Enjoy the photos!
